Personal Training isn’t just about finding someone to oversee your workouts; and setting and achieving goals is only part of the process. True success will come from finding someone who cares enough to recognize your unique needs and who has the education and experience to assist you in restructuring your lifestyle to achieve and maintain the goals you set for yourself.
For some personal training is an introduction to exercise and for others it is a way to enhance their current knowledge and understanding of how to work out safely and effectively. Often experienced exercisers will use personal training to ensure they make time to workout – they benefit from the accountability that having an appointment for exercise brings. Others like the “push” they get when being coached by an experienced professional. If you’ve ever found yourself wandering around a gym (when you actually make it there) or just not getting the results you’d planned on, then personal training may be a good option for you. When you engage in productive exercise sessions that are based on your goals, limitations and fitness level, you’ll be amazed at what you can accomplish!
Why Choose a Personal Training Studio over a gym?
A personal training studio is for someone who is serious about making significant life style changes to achieve optimum health and fitness. Because a studio is small, your goals & personal exercise needs can be addressed and attended to. You become a big fish in a small pond. Each workout, including the group classes you attend, are structured and with purpose.

In addition to “traditional” training, I also enjoy sharing the concept of “Functional Strength Training” (FST) with many members. Functional strength training is a way to use our workouts to enhance coordination, muscular strength and endurance as well as prepare our bodies for our daily lives and the respective sports and leisure activities that we enjoy.
It incorporates balance, stabilization, core and dynamic movement training into our workouts. In other words, it trains muscles as well as movements. Everyone can participate in and benefit from functional training – it is not meant to replace traditional strength training but rather to enhance and compliment it.

Melissa
I was an average person trying to lose weight by joining a "gym". I had no idea what a difference working with a personal trainer would make in speeding up my weight loss. It changed my entire physique and taught me a whole new way to effectively work out. I had someone dedicated to making my weight loss a success. Melissa was motivating and encouraging and she made me accountable for how I would succeed in making the changes I needed to make. She showed me how to change my lifestyle so this wouldnʼt be just another temporary weight loss like all the other times Iʼd tried to lose weight. That is something that just being a member of a gym can not do. The difference in joining a gym verses working with Melissa has been a 45 pound weight loss and an overall healthy life changing experience.
